RETURN TO MY OWN

With all her work, Viru's mother has no ear for her daughter. But Viru wants nothing more than for her mother to braid her hair and buy her red ribbons. After all, she is constantly teased at school because of her unruly hair. It doesn't help that her best friend Bhanu prays for her in the temple. When she discovers a bloodstain on her dress at school and is sent home, she is in despair.
