ABOUT US
Martin Schwimmer and Dominik Utz founded DOMAR Film GmbH during their studies at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. Since then, they have been producing feature and documentary films from Esslingen and Munich/Eichenau and have been selected for the programms of renowned film festivals such as the Berlinale, Tallinn Black Nights and Hot Docs Toronto. Their films have been nominated for the Studio Hamburg Newcomer Award, the FIRST STEPS Award, the German Documentary Film Award, the German Film Critics' Award and the New German Cinema Award, and have received the German Business Film Award, the Baden-Württemberg Film Award, the Producer Award of the International Sehsüchte Film Festival and several Bild-Kunst Awards as well as the Audience Award of the Munich Film Festival. Dominik Utz and Martin Schwimmer are members of the German producers' association VDFP.
Dominik Utz, Managing Director / Producer
Dominik Utz completed an apprenticeship in audiovisual media and studied filmproducing at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy, specializing in creative producing. He was a scholarship holder of the VFF Verwertungsgesellschaft der Film- und Fernsehproduzenten. He is also managing partner at FOUR GUYS Film Distribution.
Martin Schwimmer, Managing Director / Producer
Martin Schwimmer studied filmproducing at Baden-Württemberg Film Academy with a focus on International Producing and a guest residenciy at LA FEMIS Paris. He participated in numerous international film festival markets and was part of the first BY+QC CoPro program, a two-year exchange program for selected producers from Germany and Canada. He is also a managing partner at FOUR GUYS Film Distribution.
